About this book
Historical evidence suggests that earlier revelations—prior to the final revelation—have frequently been subject to interpretive biases introduced by individuals and groups. Over time, such interpretations have been employed to advance particular personal, national, and global interests, often at the expense of justice and equity. Consequently, the original integrity of these revelations has, in many instances, been compromised, resulting in distortion and the erosion of their unifying message and perceived authenticity.
By contrast, the concept of ‘Deity’ as presented in authentic revelations constitutes a foundational and unaltered principle that affirms human freedom, equality, and justice. Central to this understanding is the declaration of the oneness of Deity as the sole Creator, planner and manager of all creations, alongside the recognition of prophets—such as Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses, Isa (Jesus), and Muhammad—as exemplary figures within their respective historical contexts.
In this context, the Deity in the Qur’an series adopts the final revelation as its primary epistemological reference, while also engaging with other available sources. By integrating the concepts of body, spirit, and soul unity across both physical and metaphysical domains, it seeks to articulate a dynamic and applicable form of knowledge that responds to the contemporary needs of humanity.
